Now Accepting Learning into Action Students.

LEARNING INTO ACTION PROGRAM places students in certain businesses, so that students get local valuable experience. Tossin' Axes has openings for LIA students. Opportunities include customer service, electronics repair, inventory control, janitorial, cashier, MAST (18 or older), axe throwing, marketing, and 3D Printing. Check www.tossinaxes.com and call Daniel at 360-320-6511. From the Skagit Valley LIA Program: "Learning Into Action is an integrative learning experience designed to help students think analytically about knowledge and skills gained in the college classroom and develop an independent project in which to apply that knowledge and skill. The project may relate to career exploration, development or continuing education. The student, the Faculty Sponsor, and the Site Supervisor work together in supporting student learning objectives related to a specific placement or project. LIA is a “gray area” elective course, which you will plan in collaboration with a SVC faculty member with some expertise in the skill and knowledge area(s) you wish to apply in carrying out your project. See a Counselor or your Faculty Advisor for advice on who might be an appropriate LIA Sponsor." Please like and share this post with potential LIA students!
