A pinball launch party is a social, tournament-style event held at arcades, bars, or breweries to celebrate the release of a new pinball machine, most commonly from Stern Pinball. These events typically feature the new game, special prizes or swag. Competitors compete on 4 pinball machines and are all matched against each other. The final winners are listed on the Tossin' Axes Leader Ball above our Pinball Alley. They are often also listed nationally!

Key elements of a pinball launch party include:

New Machine Debut: The main focus is playing a brand-new, often just-released, machine. For this March 13 event, we feature Harry Potter Wizard edition machine.
Tournament & Prizes: Tossin' Axes Gift Cards --these are typically high amounts, like $60 for 1st prize. Also Prizes can be exclusive merchandise (like translites or badges).
Stern Insider Connected Integration: Many modern launch parties use this system, allowing players to track scores and earn special, location-specific, and machine-specific, digital badges. With a Random prize drawn from all the contestants, a lucky person can even win a prize!
Social Atmosphere: Beyond just competition, they are social gatherings for the community to experience the new game. Here you will find your tribe of fellow pinball wizards.

These events are designed to be fun and accessible, often with a small $10 entry fee for the tournament. Then you just buy your tokens to play. If you are a Tossin' Axes Member, for as little as $25 a month membership, you will automatically get $20 tokens every month to use.
